FinOps-X leverages a controlled approach to software selection & implementation services. We truly embrace the old adage of "measure twice, cut once." We develop a comprehensive list of requirements for each functional area impacted by the selection. We require each of the vendors reviewed to  clearly annotate in their detailed response what is Out of the Box vs. Configurable vs. Custom Code. In addition we insist that the software vendor use client data to model their solution to ensure that it meets our clients needs.


Our experience is that a solid Project Management Office (PMO) is required to successfully implement  software solutions. Our team will break down the project plan into detailed tasks, resource assignments, levels of effort, and cross functional contingencies. In addition, we leverage the detailed requirements developed during the software selection process as the basis for our user acceptance testing.
